CHECK OUT MY BLOG

I am an artist and food allergy advocate. Art and design have always been my first love and I get great pleasure from illustrating chalkboards, creating with fiber and designing graphic projects. I have always enjoyed cooking and entertaining. My approach to cooking and eating forged an entirely new path for my family when our 1 year old son developed life-threatening food allergies to multiple foods. I had to learn how to cook yummy, healthy meals free of the Top 8 Allergens (milk, egg, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, peanuts & treenuts) as well as sunflower, sesame and flax. This proved to be quite a challenge, but pushed me to learn more about whole foods and healthy eating.
  • What's your ideal/favorite meal?

Allergen free meal that my whole family can enjoy. Last year I wanted my son to enjoy a Thanksgiving where he could eat everything on the table. I created an allergen free Thanksgiving dinner that was fantastic!

  • What's your favorite kitchen tool?

    Bamboo spoons & food processor.

  • What's something you'd like a chance to eat or cook?

A meal at Ming Tsai's Blue Ginger.

  • Why do you cook?

To me, cooking is another expression of art, creativity and love. I welcome the challenge of cooking healthy allergen free meals for my family.
