This recipe was entered in the contest for Your Best Vinaigrette.


I made this recipe when my husband needed a healthier alternative to a basic vinaigrette. It has become a staple in our home. Everytime I serve it my guests never fail to request the recipe!

Makes 2 cups

  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 3 teaspoons minced fresh basil
  • 3 teaspoons Fresh thyme leaves
  • 3 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • 3 teaspoons Grey poupon mustard
  • 1 cup Best quality balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup Best quality extra virgin olive oil
  1. In food processor blend first 5 ingredients
  2. Add balsamic vinegar
  3. Slowly add the olive oil throught the feed tube so that it will emulsify
